Artistic Objectives
Develop strong personal links to community non-profits through volunteering our own time to fulfill their needs. Build strong professional links by having our productions relate to other non-profit organizations’ missions, coordinating goals for our production with an organization and tracing the effect of our involvement on the organization’s progress. -- click here for specific goals
Keep informed of current issues in the Philadelphia community and beyond so that our productions will reflect the concerns of our audience. Each staff member will be assigned an area of expertise in which s/he is responsible for remaining up-to-date in regional and international events/developments including but not limited to family issues, gender/sexuality issues, government, health, international relations, fine arts and education. -- click here for specific goals
Constantly question, evaluate and expand on what our theatre means to the community. Build a solid relationship between our community and our theatre by providing entertainment, education and the encouragement that by working together positive changes can be made. -- click here for specific goals
Tell stories that aren’t being told and confront topics that are seldom discussed by helping both individuals and other organizations in the community express themselves through theatre. Collaborate with new artists and work on original or seldom produced plays. Present fresh perspectives by having debates, speeches or readings. -- click here for specific goals
Be a source of information and educational materials so that we may be a bridge between our audience and non-profit organizations by maintaining current listings of non-profit volunteer contact people, providing resource guides and program information on the partner non-profit, and having a representative of the non-profit in attendance at performances whenever possible. -- click here for specific goals
Specific Goals Require one volunteer activity per production in which cast and company participate together. Offer discounts for groups associated with partner nonprofit organizations. Invite our audience to volunteer along side Simpatico Theatre Project for a variety of nonprofit organizations. Keep visual displays that track progress toward each production goal and keep online record with any current media, statistics, etc.
